About

Shrewsbury Chocolate Festival will be taking place on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19th November in Shrewsbury Quarry.

The festival is free to enter and will run from 10am till 5pm. Our fabulous selection of traders will be joined by acoustic music, chocolate demonstrations, children’s workshops and lots more!

The festival started 4 years ago by Julia from Toot Sweets, and alongside several chocolatiers the festival has grown from strength to strength. The ethos of the festival is proper chocolate! Chocolate which is traceable, made from high quality cacao, and is sourced either directly from the cacao farm or through companies who ensure cacao farmers are paid a proper wage.

Every chocolatier or bean to bar producer at the festival has a passion, a story and a unique product which has won awards or recognition within the chocolate world.

  1. I’ve just booked a local hotel to come to the chocolate festival. There are 6 of us coming and we’re really excited about it

    1. Hi Angela, thank you so much for letting us know! We really hope you enjoy the festival as much as we do. Best Wishes Julia & the chocolatiers

  2. This is exciting! So pleased to hear about it. My fondest memories were my visits to a fabulous chocolate festival at Castle Obidos, Portugal. Now I don’t need to travel so far!

    1. Hi Claire,
Thank you for your message. Dogs will be allowed into the marquee, but they must be kept on their leads, and away from the stands for their own safety and hygiene. Best Wishes Julia

  3. Hi, is there parking for people with mobility issues? Although my Dad isn’t registered disabled there is no way he could walk back and forward to the park and ride in town.

    Thanks

    1. Hi Joanne, the town council are not allowing cars to park in the Quarry. All our exhibitors are having to park outside of the Quarry, security is very tight now in the Quarry. There is parking at St Chads, and there is parking along Victoria Avenue (near the Armoury), and Shrewsbury Sixth Form on Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday. Otherwise the short stay parking is available near Rowleys House. Thanks Julia

  4. Hi – just wondering if the area of the park will be signposted? It sounds like it’s a huge area. I’m not from the area so I don’t know it at all and want to make sure we don’t miss it! Thanks!
